Drew Starkey as Rafe Cameron is one of the most complex characters the internet has ever been obsessed with. He is quite literally a murderer, and yet, the Outer Banks fandom cannot get enough of him.

If you’re like us, then you’ve probably already finished part one of Outer Banks season four on Netflix, and while he is a bit calmer in the first five episodes, Rafe Cameron is still wreaking havoc on our favorite Pogues. While Starkey’s character is one of the many villains terrorizing this beach town this season, some viewers have shifted focus away from the main plot to lean into the cozy fashion happening concurrently. In episode five, Rafe is seen wearing a blue-grey sweater while on his yacht, tucking in his new girlfriend, Sofia, played by Fiona Palomo, in bed. The moment has now made its way to TikTok, birthing many, many fan edits.

Of course, we’re now wondering what made this sweater so special, so noteworthy, that it has gotten its own search power online. It’s safe to assume, first and foremost, that this is because of Drew Starkey himself. He is the internet’s crush of the month (maybe even the year), and as he continues to venture into the fashion world, fully becoming a Loewe boy, it’s no wonder even his character’s style choices are becoming memorable.

Another factor is, of course, that we don’t get fully clothed Kooks or Pogues in this show very often, to be quite honest. Outer Banks is a summer show and season 4 is the first time the series has ever premiered not during the warmer months — so a fall premiere means having a sweater appear on the show for even more than a second seems like a big deal.

The sweater itself is also just a perfect in-between piece that we could all use right now. It isn’t too thick, so it’s perfectly fine to wear currently as fall rolls in, and the temperature slowly starts to drop; but it can also be used as a layering piece once winter comes knocking on our doorstep.

While we don't know exactly where Rafe's sweater is from, we’re all very appreciative of this Rafe-Sweater scene and milking it to the max in our own wardrobes since we probably won’t get too many more cozy sweater moments this season. Thank you, OBX wardrobe and Drew Starkey, we all say in unison, for finding our next sweater obsession.

While we wait for part 2 of Outer Banks season 4 to premiere, you can rewatch part 1, only on Netflix, and shop sweaters inspired by Drew Starkey's viral on-screen moment below:
