Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2020 is officially Classic Blue and, honestly, we should have seen it coming. Back in September, the Pantone Color Institute announced their spring-summer 2020 color trends and, lo and behold, Classic Blue made the select dozen.
So now, we hit play on Lana Del Rey's anthemic “Blue Jeans” and scan through our closets, vanities, and drawers to see what Classic Blue items we own and those we are lacking — and we suggest you do the same!
Why? Well, for one, this classic color will pair more than well with its predecessors Living Color and Ultra Violet. And for two, according to Pantone, the blue shade symbolizes “protection, stability, peace” and “encourages deep thinking” — meaning you’ll not only need items for your wardrobe but your beauty routine, and lifestyle choices, too. Or, ehm, at least that’s how we see it!
