When musician PinkPantheress gets ready for the day, there's one part of her face that she avoids entirely: her forehead.
"I do not touch my forehead on a daily basis. I view my forehead as a very complicated and sacred thing, and therefore, I won't touch it," the musician told Vogue in her new Beauty Secrets video. According to PinkPantheress, it's partially because of the threat of acne, and partially due to supermodel Naomi Campbell; the star heard that the model doesn't put foundation on her forehead, and she followed suit. (In a YouTube video with Jackie Aina from 2019, Campbell did say she doesn't like wearing foundation on her forehead.)
The singer uses a plethora of affordable products in her skin care and makeup routines, including La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser, which she loves for fighting acne, and Laneige's Cream Skin Cerapeptide Toner & Moisturizer.
PinkPantheress is an avid beauty enthusiast who loves scrolling Reddit for product recommendations and inspiration. "I'm a cosmetics person. I like getting stuff done: my nails done, my hair done," she explains. "I like doing my eyebrows — I mean, what's left of them. That's what relaxes me." The singer is known for her super thin brows, much like those worn by stars in the '90s and early '00s." I think for me personally, having a thicker brow drew away from what I wanted people to look like, which was my eyes and my cheekbones."
One of her biggest Y2K beauty inspirations is the one and only Beyoncé. "I'm not going to lie; those early 2000s looks that she was serving with the minimal makeup, nice strong eyebrows — she had a thin brow too, and I thought it was so beautiful," the singer shares. When it comes to face makeup, she's all about MAC, using both Studio Radiance Face & Body Radiant Sheer Foundation and Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation to "melt" into her skin.
She uses a hot pink NYX powder lip cream as blush on her cheeks, which she calls "very Barbie," a timely reference given she has a song on the Barbie movie soundtrack. After applying Hard Candy Glosstopia Lip Repair Oil, PinkPantheress then styles her bangs — without touching her forehead, of course — and she's ready to go! Maybe we'll try not touching our foreheads for a while.
