Pop-Tarts recently revealed that starting May, it will be selling two new beverage-inspired pastries nationwide: Frosted Crush Orange and Frosted A&W Root Beer.
"We're always trying to surprise our fans with flavors they'll love," Angela Gusse, director of marketing for Pop-Tarts, said in a statement. "The Frosted A&W Root Beer and Frosted Crush Orange varieties are so different from our fruity and dessert-type tarts. We're excited to welcome them to our Pop-Tarts family!"
You're probably wondering how a soft drink would be translated to Pop-Tart form. Well, the Frosted Crush Orange Pop-Tart features citrus-flavored filling in a crust topped with orange string icing and white glaze. In the A&W Root Beer Pop-Tart, you can expect root beer filling in a golden crust that includes white frosting and brown, red, and orange "crunchlets."
And if you want to get really meta, try washing down an A&W Root Beer Pop-Tart with root beer, or a Frosted Crush Orange Pop-Tart with orange soda. (Woah.)
