At a Clinton rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina, President Obama said what we're all thinking, and remarked on how utterly insane this election has been. In fact, he compared it to a reality show (which is appropriate, TBH, given Trump's Apprentice background). But he didn't compare it to just any reality show. There's one show in particular the president feels is analogous to the election. Hint: it's full of glass-throwing, back-stabbing, name-calling drama.
"Suddenly, reality TV has entered into the race for the presidency," Obama said. "It's not even Survivor or the Bachelorette." AKA it barely qualifies as a competition.
"I mean it's like some Love & Hip Hop stuff," he said. "It's just some stuff that up until this election we would have said is completely disqualifying, and somehow everyone's gotten accustomed to it, acting like it's normal." At first glance, Obama's comparison might seem far off, but when you think about it, there are quite a few similarities between the outrageous antics on Love & Hip Hop and this election.
