Last month, the supertalented Regina Spektor graciously offered to take some time out of her busy, busy schedule (she’s just released a concert album and accompanying DVD, Live in London) to answer some of your questions. And oh, wow, were there questions--more than 120 of them! We picked a selection of our favorites and sent them over to Regina. Here are her thoughtful responses:
Have you ever thought of holding a concert and only playing the songs you’ve never released (some of them are your best!)? --stephGOLDEN
Thanks, stephGOLDEN. Hmmm, I don’t remember how to play so many of my songs. . . . Luckily for me they are not completely erased from the world because people have recorded them at shows over the years and stuck them on the Internet! I think sometimes of relearning them and recording them or arranging them but the truth is I get way more excited doing new things than devoting tons of time relearning old forgotten things (do I hear a "lazy," hells yeah!). So it seems highly unlikely but I never know, maybe someday. Thanks again and take good care! reg.
