Reneé Rapp was the chosen audience member for Role Model's new tradition he started after she came on stage to be his “Sally.”
The musician has been in the midst of his lengthy tour since last November — which kicked off in Dublin, Ireland, and is set to end in Seattle, Washington on April 10. During one of his last tour stops, Role Model held two shows in the Los Angeles area — the second one held in Oakland at the Fox Theater. The singer started a tradition during this tour in which he chooses someone from the audience to come on stage and dance with him while he performs the bridge of “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.”
This week, Role Model surprised the audience by bringing out a very famous “Sally” — Reneé Rapp. In fan footage taken from the concert on April 3, Role Model says to the crowd, “Where’s my Sally tonight?” Rapp then dances on stage, hugging Role Model, before dancing along to the bridge of the song. The lyrics go, “Aw, sh*t, here we go again, I’m falling headfirst/ Ankles hit the two-step, Sally makes my head hurt/ Heard through the grapevine, she can be a diva/ Cold like Minnesota, hotter than a fever.”
Rapp is shown dancing effortlessly while wearing a cropped zip-up hoodie, baggy pants with boxers sticking out, and her signature wavy blonde hair flowing down her shoulders.

“Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” has become a viral hit after Role Model added it to the deluxe edition of his album, Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye). The musician released the deluxe version on Valentine's Day of this year after initially releasing Kansas Anymore in July 2024 — growing in fame thanks in part to TikTok. Rapp is obviously a fan, as she looked as though she was just attending Role Model's concert before dancing on stage.
