Reneé Rapp has often been described by fans as “relatable," and while that term might be overused with certain celebrities, the musician's reaction to receiving flowers from Beyoncé is just that.

The artist and actor — who recently came off of her success playing Regina George in the musical reprise of Mean Girls — posted a photo and video on Saturday of a special bouquet of flowers that arrived from none other than Queen Bey herself. The gift comes after Rapp performed a cover of Beyoncé's “Daddy Lessons” from her 2016 Lemonade album. The country song came years before Beyoncé announced a full country album that would drop next month.

In the first photo, Rapp is shown clasping a hand over her mouth as she gazes at the flowers. The second slide is a video of her looking in disbelief before quietly whispering, “not Beyoncé.”

In the caption, Rapp wrote: “being seen by your hero is the most indescribable feeling. beyoncé you are my inspiration.. you are everything to me. I’m speechless.”

Rapp didn't clarify that the flowers were for her paying homage to the musician, but either way, the bouquet seemed to be very much a milestone.

Commenters shared Rapp's excitement, with one person writing, “Just checking in to see how you are cuz my ego would inflate tremendously.” Another user wrote, “didnt know i needed this interaction so bad wow.” Other people were telling Rapp to save the flowers “forever.”

While Reneé Rapp recently came off of the press tour for Mean Girls, showing just how hilarious and down-to-earth she really is, she has recently pivoted her career to focus on music more than acting. In September 2023, Rapp told the Los Angeles Times that she was stepping back from acting due to her anxiety from comments regarding her body — including leaving the popular show, Sex Lives of College Girls.

“I go back and forth, because I get so anxious on sets and I feel sh*t about myself, so I feel like I shouldn’t put myself back in that environment,” Rapp said at the time.

Rapp released her album Snow Angel in 2023 and is currently on tour. While she's focusing on music at this moment, does that mean a potential collaboration with Beyoncé could happen? We can only dream. Beyoncé is constantly reinventing herself — including creating a forthcoming country album. So never say never.
