A few weeks ago, Rosalía practically broke Spanish TikTok when she dropped the deets for her lip combo in a fan’s comment section. Immediately, people sought to buy the products she recommended (or find dupes where applicable) to try to get results as good as Rosalía’s. Now, the Spaniard is clearing all doubts with a detailed tutorial of her own.
While it is true that Rosalía first dropped the full product list a while back, the way you apply the products is just as important as the products you use, and that’s where her new tutorial comes in handy. Seeing how viral her lip combo had gone with one comment alone (the hashtag #LipComboRosalia has accumulated over a million views on the app at the time of writing), Rosi decided to jump on the trend bandwagon and make her own video detailing the entire process.
Rosalía kicks off her lip combo tutorial with an oldie but a goldie: NYX’s Suede Matte Velvet Vegan Lip Liner in Cold Brew, which will only ring you back $5. “First, we line,” Rosalía explains, in Spanish, in the video, proceeding to line the shape of her lips, making sure to really define her cupid’s bow. “Then I fill in the sides,” she proceeds, adding color towards the corners of both her upper and bottom lips. “As well as you can manage, depending on how much time you have,” she quips.
Rosalía then grabs a “busted” thin brush and blends in the liner with little taps. “As you see fit, really,” she nonchalantly adds. The next step is adding Byredo’s Eath Dust lipstick, which retails for $50, the most expensive item in the tutorial, to the inner center of your lips. “Don’t go overboard,” she warns, “tap it in little by little.”
Next, Rosalía goes back to another all-time fave, Benefit Cosmetics’ Benetint Liquid Lip Blush & Cheek Tint ($24) in the classic shade, and adds it to the very center of her lips, bottom and upper, blending it into the previously created shade for an ombré effect. “To finish, we top it off with a gloss,” she adds, picking Kylie Skin’s lip oil ($25) in what appears to be the shade Pomegranate while giving yet another shout-out to her bestie.
To wrap up the tutorial, Rosalía takes a minute to shout out another fave: her fans. “You are all so beautiful,” she says. “I’ve seen you recreating [the lip combo], and you looked divine.
