ICYMI, Sabrina Carpenter performed her massively popular song of the summer, "Espresso," as the musical guest on SNL on May 18, but before she glammed up for her performance, she headed to NBC studios at 30 Rock in New York City looking more like a librarian than a pop star…well, almost.
Sabrina Carpenter arrived at the studio in a flirty Miu Miu 'fit, starting with a cropped, fitted polo shirt with the brand's logo embroidered on the front and a teeny-tiny miniskirt over Miu Miu briefs. The look is equal parts sporty and geek chic, like she did a shift at the library and then went golfing, though her choice of footwear is much more suited to sitting at a desk than hitting the course.
Carpenter paired the polo and mini with thick white socks and ankle-strap black platform sandals, her footwear silhouette of choice. Accessory-wise, she held onto a ladylike black alligator satchel bag and kept the librarian vibes going with a cute pair of Bayonetta-style glasses. Her signature long, tumbling curls, blushed cheeks, and full brows were all present and accounted for. She could definitely help you find that reference book way up in the stacks of your local library.
For the actual show, Carpenter changed into a super cute, showgirl-inspired baby pink corset bodysuit with feathers to perform "Feather" and "Nonsense," then changed into a red babydoll minidress to sing "Espresso." She also popped up in a skit dressed as Daphne from Scooby-Doo, complete with a red wig and purple dress. She's working late because she's a singer…and an SNL guest star! Sabrina Carpenter as host when?
