Sabrina Carpenter is joining the ironic graphic tee shirt club in the best way possible. 2023 has been the year of self-awareness in the form of graphic tees for celebrities. Hailey Bieber, daughter of actor and producer Stephen Baldwin, kicked off the trend back in January with a “nepo baby” shirt. TikTok star Charli D’Amelio also wore her heart on her tee with a shirt about benefiting from pretty privilege.
This past weekend, Sabrina Carpenter also decided to join the trend, and she found the perfect occasion for it. While attending the Kansas City Chiefs football game to see tight end Travis Kelce with Taylor Swift, Carpenter donned a fitting shirt. The not-so-basic cropped white tee read “sports watcher” across the front in a letterman-like font. And well, she’s not wrong.
This iconic and slightly ironic shirt is perfect for any game day, or maybe even the 2024 Olympics. Luckily, the tee with quite literal messaging can be found on Etsy. As of now, it retails for just under $40 and is available in sizes S to 2XL.
If Carpenter has already inspired you to grab a shirt of your own, you might be able to take some styling tips from her as well. She layered the on-the-nose top with an oversized leather jacket. As if to keep with the sports theme, she opted for a denim micro skirt with pleats, mirroring the look of a cheerleader uniform. She wore a red bow in her hair and a pair of knee-high boots covered in buckles with striped socks to give the look her signature edgy coquette aesthetic.

In the beauty department, Carpenter also kept to her typical style. She used the bow to wear her hair in a half-up, half-down look with her feathered bangs framing her face. Her long, almond-shaped nails were covered in a chrome silver color, giving the look an extra edge. She kept the makeup simple with a soft silver eyeshadow and thin winged eyeliner.
