Sabrina Carpenter Announces Spotify Top Listeners Presale for North American Tour Dates

Sabrina Carpenter is offering a new way for fans to get tickets to her upcoming Short n' Sweet tour dates, and all you need is to be a dedicated Carpenter listener on Spotify.

On Thursday, June 20, Spotify announced a tour partnership with Carpenter and AEG that will consist of two presales exclusively available for the “Espresso” singer's top listeners on the platform: a Spotify Fans First Front Row Presale with tickets in special listener area, and a Spotify Fans First Presale for a broader grouping of frequent listeners.

“My fans are the best, and I’m excited to share Spotify’s exclusive ticket access with them as a thank you," Carpenter says in an email to Teen Vogue. "For the first time, Spotify created a Top Listener Fan Pit at the front of every North American show, and we’re offering tickets to my top listeners. You’ve all been there for every step of my journey, and I can’t wait to celebrate with you on tour.”

Check your email on Wednesday, June 26, to see if you made the cut. The Spotify Fans First Front Row Presale is for tickets in the Spotify Top Listener Pit on the floor, and the platform stresses these will be “very limited quantity.” That presale launches on Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET.

The Spotify Fans First Presale, meanwhile, starts at 11 a.m. PT/2:00 p.m. ET and will offer a “wider range" of top listeners access to tickets in other areas of the venues, according to Spotify.

Emails for the presales will go out “during their eligible presale time,” Spotify noted in its announcement.

It'll be interesting to see just how many tickets are available, how hard it is to get them, and how this partnership could affect ticket sales for major artists in the future, given the high prevalence of scalpers combined with unending fees from Ticketmaster (and its ilk). Plus, it's nice to think of the most avid listeners of an artist getting the best seats when they tour.

“We wanted to create a new ticketing offer that is fan-centric, and Sabrina’s passionate and engaged fanbase, not to mention incredible career growth, makes her the perfect artist for us to pilot a new offering like this," Lisa Ritchey, artist partnerships lead at Spotify, shares in a statement to Teen Vogue. “Spotify is uniquely positioned with our listener insights to enable and reward top fans while creating more ways for listeners to support their favorite artists online and onstage.”

The Spotify presales, of course, won't be the only way to get tickets. On Monday, June 24th, CashApp will hold a presale for cardholders at 10 a.m. local time. The AEG/venue presale will begin on Thursday, June 27th, at 10 a.m. local time, and general public onsale begins on Friday, June 28th at 10 a.m. local.
