Selena Gomez just used a nail polish under $20 to achieve lip gloss nails. High gloss at a low cost!
From last year’s viral glazed doughnut trend and chocolate swirl to this summer’s most viral manicure – lip gloss nails – where there is a season, there is a nail trend nailing it! What is even better? The crucial element to getting your lipgloss nails to be poppin’ is to use sheer shades of polish to achieve a wet-look texture. Much like any trend, there are a multitude of ways that beauty enthusiasts and celebrities add their own twist on it!
Thankfully for us, Selena’s longtime celebrity nail artist, Tom Bachik just dropped the details on achieving the lip gloss glam (or “High Gloss Glam'' as he captioned it) on Selena’s Academy Museum Gala manicure. In his Instagram post, Selena’s nails are subtle with a freshly-manicured shine. First prepping the nails with his Tweezerman x Tom Bachik nail care travel set, Tom completed the singer’s manicure using the Aprés Gel Couleur in Gossamer Light.

Not only is the nail polish under $20, but it maintains its high quality. Notably, its brush is made of PBT fibers, giving it the same density and compact feel as a Japanese nail art brush. Of course, given its popularity, many other celebs have also put their own flair on the lip gloss nails, such as Rosé of BLACKPINK and Hailee Steinfeld.
