It's safe to say that Simone Biles approves of her husband's new tattoo. The Olympic gymnast showed off the fresh ink on her Instagram Stories with a few emojis to share her thoughts on the new addition.
Biles' husband, Jonathan Owens, who plays for the Chicago Bears, paid homage to his medal-winning wife with the design, a cursive capital “S” in black ink on his ring finger. In the pic, Biles holds her husband's hand while snapping a pic of the tattoo, so her red-tipped French manicure is visible too. She captioned the snapshot with a few emojis, including the screaming face, two red hearts, and the fingers-crossed emoji. So sweet!
We're not sure when Owens got the tattoo, but it's obvious that it's an ode to Biles, given the “S” and the ring finger placement. The couple has a lot going on this summer, to say the least. Biles will be heading to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games after blowing everyone's minds with her routine at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Minneapolis — including Taylor Swift's! (Biles played a snippet of Swift's “Ready for It?" during her floor routine.)
Owens will be with her in Paris, as he's gotten a few days off from Bears training to watch his wife compete, but then he'll be back to work. As noted by People, Owens showered his wife with gifts during the trials, including Louis Vuitton bags, pink roses, and a date night.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens met in 2020 via the dating app Raya and married in a courthouse wedding in April 2023, then had a big party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where Biles wore not one, not two, but four different dresses for the celebrations. We're so excited to see her take on Paris and while we won't be courtside like Owens, we'll be rooting for Biles just the same.
