Sofia Wylie is in her blonde era. The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star just made a big change to her hair color and we are totally obsessed.
Wylie debuted the new hair color on Instagram, writing “Blondes have more fun right?” Judging from these new pics, we think she's having a great time as a blonde. Wylie's curls are now a mix of pale baby blonde, honey blonde, ash blonde, and warm caramel blonde for lots of depth to the color, mingling together in a symphony of dimensional tones. She paired them with minimal makeup, just a bit of blush and a pretty pink lip color, and wore a bright red cami tank top and jeans to show off the fresh hair color. Prior to the color change-up, Wylie was rocking a darker brunette in early 2024, then went gradually lighter before taking the blonde plunge. When you start with a dark base, it's best to lighten up little by little to preserve your hair health, and it looks like Wylie has been planning to go lighter and brighter for awhile.
Fans were all about the transformation and hopped into her Instagram comments to share the love. “It's like… your color,” wrote one. “Hey Barbie!” commented another. “The reveal wait was worth it!!” shared another.
Sofia Wylie isn't the only celebrity feeling the urge to go blonde this season. Kendall Jenner swapped her dark hair in favor of a warm, golden blonde during New York Fashion Week, then her BFF Hailey Bieber added some blonde to her medium brown hair color. Another notable brunette, Addison Rae, also went blonde, debuting her sparkling shade at the 2024 Academy Museum Gala. Looks like blondes do have more fun, especially in the fall!
