The most wonderful time of the year is here: it's time to find out how to see your Spotify Wrapped 2022 and explore your year in music and podcasts. (And of course, share all the potentially cringey, navel-gazing details on social media.)
Nearly a year's worth of data tracking has led to this moment when you can finally check out what you streamed on Spotify this year, for better or for worse. Plus, Spotify has gathered the top artists, album, and songs globally and by country. Who was the top artist of 2022 around the world? Bad Bunny, of course, now in his third year on top.
In Spotify Wrapped 2022, you can also explore some interesting trend info Spotify has gathered about patterns that emerged over the year. For example, user-generated playlists titled “feral girl summer” spiked 320% this year, while “coastal grandma” playlists skyrocketed 600%. TikTok's grip on music continues.

When Was the Spotify Wrapped 2022 Cutoff Date?
While rumors floated around that Spotify ended its tracking data for Wrapped on October 31, the company debunked that on Twitter this year. The actual cutoff for personalized user data was a “few weeks” prior to launch on November 30, the company shared. (Leaving plenty of time for Taylor Swift's Midnights to make a sizeable impact in just a couple weeks.) Meanwhile, general top artist data captured the time between January 1, 2022 and November 26, 2022.

What Are the New Features for Spotify Wrapped 2022?
Spotify Wrapped 2022 brings with it several interesting new features that further personalize your data. The first is something called Your Listening Personality, which assigns you a Myers-Briggs-style code of four letters based on your listening habits. There are 16 configurations total, and the categories are Exploration (E) vs. Familiarity (F), Newness (N) vs. Timelessness (T), Variety (V) vs. Loyalty (L), and Commonality (C) vs. Uniqueness (U). You'll then get a moniker, such as “The Devotee" or “The Fanclubber.”
For example I'm an ENVC, “always seeking the next hot thing,” and my moniker is “The Early Adopter.” Not mad at that.
Another new feature is called “Audio Day," which labels the kinds of songs you tend to listen to at certain times of the day. I began my mornings with “Creative Light Intense,” settled into the day with “Eerie Gothic Morture” and closed down my evenings with “Bittersweet Acceptance Heartache.” Nice.
Last year, Spotify provided top fans with personalized thank you messages from their top artists — 100 total. This year, Spotify has gone even bigger, widening the artist pool to 40,000; users can receive up to 10 thank you messages in total. And if you're into Roblox, there's plenty to uncover from some of your faves over on Spotify Island. Play games, explore virtual merch, and take photobooth opportunities with Bizarrap, Black Sherif, CRO, Doechii, Eslabon Armado, Miranda Lambert, Niki, Stray Kids, Sunmi, and Tove Lo.
