In addition to his deep-toned voice, Stray Kids member Felix is known for having a penchant for eye-catching makeup and hairstyles. Whether in a music video, on the runway, or at the Met Gala, Felix has never been shy to experiment with various looks throughout the years. His daring style has earned him much praise, and he's now opening up about his secrets and inspirations in a new TV appearance.
During a recent interview on MBC World, Felix was asked about his “secret trick that grabs the world's attention," and the idol did not hesitate to respond. “I focus a lot on makeup, styling, and visual aspects," he said, then discussing some of his most memorable looks and the inspiration behind them.
First, Felix discussed his silver hair and white mascara look for Stray Kids' promotion of “TOP,” their original soundtrack for the hit anime series Tower of God, adapted from the South Korean webtoon of the same name. Since that era, Felix has dabbled with a few other hairstyles and colors, but lately, his shoulder-length platinum blonde hair has become one of his signature looks.
As he mentioned later in the show, he puts a lot of focus on maintaining his hair color, especially when it's blonde and silver. He's also tried white mascara a few more times, including a special stage for Kingdom. He revealed that his inspiration for the style came from the Tower of God character Khun Aguero Agnes, who has silver hair and white makeup.
Felix also took a minute to briefly discuss his freckles, which, in case there were any doubts, he clarified are 100% natural. Felix explained that he got them while living in Australia and being under the sun. He also pointed out his ear shape has drawn him comparisons to Legolas from Lord of the Rings.
In addition to beauty, Felix also talked about his “unisex” fashion sense during the interview. He pointed to his use of skirts, particularly in the “Maniac” music video and an end-of-year award show performance, as examples. Felix also mentioned his role as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton and his ability to pull off womenswear to fit his style preferences.
He went on to talk about some behind-the-scenes moments from his runway debut, which he previously called one of the “happiest moments of his life” for the French luxury brand. Felix shared that the experience felt very new to him, and he was shocked by how tall the other models were. He revealed that he had a hard time walking in high heels but was reassured by supermodel Hoyeon Jung, who told him not to be nervous and gave him a lot of tips. He expressed that he was relieved by how it turned out and that his mom was in attendance for the show. (He also revealed that he receives many gifts from the brand and gives the handbags to his mom!)
