A good jacket can take you anywhere and everywhere — just ask Stray Kids bandmate I.N, whose latest look is centered around what may be the perfect fall-to-winter transition piece.
The jacket made an appearance in I.N's latest Instagram photo dump, a carousel of mirror selfies of his outfit. He's wearing a black Carhartt WIP Detroit Jacket, a hip-length, zip-up collared jacket made of durable cotton with a cotton-polyester lining.
I.N's exact jacket retails for $192 and is definitely a lighter weight than some of the other Detroit Jackets in the line, making it perfect for layering. He wore it over a white button-down shirt tied with a black necktie, loose-fitting light-wash denim, and a pair of white sneakers, plus a green New York Yankees baseball cap and a silver ring on his middle finger.

You can still channel I.N even if you live in a chillier climate! Carhartt WIP makes a few different versions of the Detroit Jacket, including the “Winter” version with a quilted lining for extra warmth. (That jacket retails for $255.) The Detroit Jacket also comes in a variety of colors, including a dusty blue, wine red, and khaki. We're a little surprised I.N didn't go for the camo version, as he recently wore a pair of camo pants in another photo dump.
Carhartt has traditionally been a workwear brand, but the subbrand Carhartt WIP has been embraced by fashion lovers in recent years, with the work jackets and beanies dominating the trend cycle. The WIP (short for work in progress) line is the more “fashion forward” version of Carhartt, with a European sensibility that gives the classic American brand a chic edge. As I.N proves, the Detroit Jacket is a versatile closet essential that can be styled in so many ways, no matter your personal style or where you live.
