As the new season approaches, you're probably thinking about updating your footwear collection. Luckily, Stray Kids member I.N has found a fitting pair of sneakers for fall 2024 — and, as it turns out, they’re a revamp of classic fan-favorite shoes.
On September 3, 2024, I.N posted an Instagram photo dump with behind-the-scenes snaps from Stray Kids’ dominATE tour performance and rehearsal in Seoul, South Korea, on August 24, 2024. Among the detail shots of his stage outfits, he also shared a photo of a more low-key look. He took a close-up of a pair of baggy olive pants and black and white Vans Old Skool shoes.
While I.N’s shoe choice happens to be a classic that’s been around since 1977, though it was originally thought of as a skate shoe, given the Californian brand’s popularity with skateboarders and the practicality of the design, the Vans Old Skool shoe went on to be adopted by athletes in other extreme sports, grunge and punk musicians, and eventually became a mainstream closet staple in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
Now, thanks to musicians who are bringing back punk aesthetics like Olivia Rodrigo and I.N, Vans are seeing a resurgence in popularity. I.N actually put a trendy fall spin by opting for the more modern platform version of the Vans Old Skools.

I.N’s timing and styling couldn’t be better because his look is a quintessential fall pairing. The dark olive green pants and the classic black sneakers are the perfect combo for bonfires, pumpkin picking, and going out of your way to step on fallen leaves that look particularly crunchy.
This isn’t the first time I.N has led us to a trendy seasonal shoe. In the winter, he proved that it’s perfectly fine to wear slippers outside with a cozy chic outfit complete with the UGG Tasmans. To start spring, he wore Adidas Gazelle sneakers, which were making the rounds among celebrities, including Gigi Hadid and Emma Watson. Just before summer, he spiced things up with a pair of pink sneakers. With this fall selection, it’s safe to say that he has a knack for picking great footwear for every season.
