One of the things I miss most about having long hair is--funnily enough--being able to sweep it off my face into a bun. In high school, my hair would always be in a loose bun. So I thought was rather funny to see low, loose buns become a runway and red carpet staple! Miami-based celebrity stylist** Raphael Reboh** (of the Ritz Carlton South Beach’s Femme Coiffure salon) shared some tips with me regarding how to rock a glamorous low loose bun. Try it out for prom!
Diffuse your hair until it is fully dry
Lightly brush through and pull hair back
Tie hair into a loose ponytail or bun
Use a tail-comb (or anything with a point) to pick up the front for a little bit of height
Add texture with face framing waves
Finish with a gloss spray (preferably instead of hair spray). Gloss gives a bit of separation and brings curls back together to add definition
