Sydney Sweeney rang in her 26th birthday in style — ‘80s style, to be specific. The Euphoria star turned 26 on September 12 and celebrated over the weekend with an exceptional ‘80s prom-themed party featuring a star-studded guest list.
Sydney Sweeney gave fans a peek at the 26th birthday celebrations on Instagram, where she reshared a handful of images and videos from guests at her party at Serra on Vine, hosted with Revolve. Only one picture came straight from Sweeney’s camera roll, and it was a shot of the event’s venue, featuring mirror balls galore and draped pink curtains decorating the ceiling. The whole venue was decked out in pink for “Syd’s Prom,” and, of course, as the night's protagonist, Sweeney was dressed to match.
As shown in other snaps, the actor donned a satin pink mini dress with a low neckline that showed off her décolletage and culminated in larger-than-life rose shoulder puffs. Sweeney accessorized with metallic pink heels adorned with bows, a diamanté-embellished pink mini purse (also with a bow), and a big pink crystal necklace. She rounded off the look with the ultimate ‘80s-inspired hairdo: a voluminous perm that, dare we say it, was low-key giving Oklahoma!
Sweeney was undoubtedly the star of the night, but there were plenty of other stars in attendance as well. Ariana Greenblatt was among the first celebrities that Sweeney reposted on her stories. The Barbie actor posted a short video of Sweeney blowing out the candles on her three-tiered cake. “Birthday girl,” she wrote on the slide with a white heart. Greenblatt wasn’t the only Barbie in attendance. Alexandra Shipp, who starred alongside Sweeney in Anyone But You, also posted a snap with the “birthday bae” from the party.
Dominican actor Emily Tosta followed suit, sharing a picture of the birthday girl and herself at the bash. “Happy birthday, gorgeous. Love u,” her story read. Model Madisin Rian also posed with Sweeney at the party. “Happy birthday, gorgeous Syd,” she wrote in her stories. “The absolute best ‘80s prom party.”
Former Riverdale star Camila Medes also shared a video of the cake moment, tagging Sweeney and adding that the “‘80s prom night was rad” with a couple of pink heart emojis. (Sweeney reciprocated the love on her repost, adding a “Love youuuuu :)” to her slide.)
Nicola Peltz Beckham also shared a snippet from the party to her stories, which showed Sweeney smiling prior to receiving a bouquet of flowers. “Happy birthday, beauty! I love you so much!!” she wrote alongside a handful of emojis, including a pink bow.
Actor Darby Camp, dancers Dani Vitale and Scott Myrick, Euphoria’s MUA Donni Davy, and actor and filmmaker Annabelle Attanasio also made Sweeney’s reposts with their own snapshots from the night. As did Brazilian superstar Anitta, who had just performed at the 2023 VMAs days before Sweeney’s birthday bash. “My first prom thanks to the bday girl,” Anitta wrote on her slide. “U deserve the best!!!”
With a theme as fun as an ‘80s prom and a guest list as star-studded as this one, Sweeney has big shoes to fill for her next birthday — even if they are her own. But we’ll cross that bridge when we have to. Happy birthday, Sydney Sweeney!
