We pay attention when Sydney Sweeney steps on the red carpet. The actor isn't afraid to try something new or change things up with an unexpected accessory or hairstyle, whether it's a black bob at the Met Gala or knee-high boots in the middle of summer. For the premiere of the movie Eden at the Toronto International Film Festival (a.k.a. TIFF), Sweeney swapped her usual pinky-nude lipstick and gloss in favor of a fall-ready ombré lip with a touch of romance.
Sweeney's makeup artist, Melissa Hernandez, mimicked the pink floral appliques on her Erdem dress, tracing the actor's lips with a dark red liner and filling them in with a satiny rose red gloss for an ombré effect.
The same color popped up on Sweeney's eyes via a subtle dusting of reddish-pink shadow on her lashline and upper lids. The final result was gorgeously romantic and perfect for the fall season, and Hernandez's followers were begging for the details on the exact combo used to create the lip. She hasn't shared the shades yet, but the people want to know — and we count ourselves among them!
The lips weren't the only surprising detail of Sweeney's Eden premiere look. Hairstylist Glen Oropeza pulled her hair back in a very low ponytail, cinched nearly at the ends of her hair versus the mid-lengths, and tied it with a pretty strand of pearls for a polished but still unexpected take on the traditional ponytail.
From the front, it looked as though Sweeney's hair was left loose down her back, but when she turned, the pearls made their debut. It's safe to say we'll definitely be copying this whole beauty vibe for our next big event; it's statement-making without feeling fussy and definitely DIYable for those of us without a glam team. Thanks, Sydney Sweeney!
