Taylor Swift's new reputation involves a lot of snake motifs, but she just might have to give it all up for a new furry friend: the rat who starred in her "Look What You Made Me Do" video. In a behind-the-scenes video the singer released Thursday, fans get a peek at the making of the music video — specifically the birdcage scene in which Taylor rides a swing and interacts with a rodent.

She seemed to love the entire scene, being very enthusiastic about swinging: "This is where I was meant to be." The highlight, however, is when the little rat shows up, capturing Taylor's heart as he scampers across her dinner plate. Tay pets him lovingly, while saying, "You're the best costar ever. I'm going to take you with me." (No word on how her "Bad Blood" squad feels about being second best to her furry new friend.)

Unfortunately though, the singer was quickly reminded of her two (famous) feline friends: Meredith and Olivia. "What are we going to do about that? They will hate you," Taylor asks. "They'll try to really murder you hard. You're going to have to learn to fight. We're going to send you to a training facility." Ever the problem-solver, Taylor then fully congratulated herself for coming up with a genius way to take home the animal despite her two cats. "I'm glad we have a plan. This has been great," she says.

Let's just hope this love inspires her next single.
