As Taylor Swift has yet to do any interviews with the press to coincide with her Reputation album release, the Swift Nation was granted a gift of sorts with her new British Vogue cover — her one and only magazine cover since coming back into the public eye this year. However, she didn't actually get interviewed for British Vogue, choosing only to be photographed in the edgy shoot by famed photographers Mert and Marcus. Now, though, Taylor has thrown us a little literary treat to tide us over until her tour next year.
Called "The Trick to Holding On," Taylor published a new, never-before-seen poem for the article in which she "reflects on the lessons learned as she moves into the next chapter of her life." And while she doesn't directly name names — when has she ever? — it's clear Taylor is looking back at somebody who has betrayed her in some capacity.
Calvin Harris? Kimye? TBD on who she's no longer picking up the phone for. The rest of the poem's stanzas, though, take on a much more optimistic tone as 2018 nears.
Honestly, this could've been a bonus Reputation track.
