Taylor Swift has seemingly changed the capitalization of the title of her Tortured Poets Department track “thanK you aIMee,” which many interpreted to be about Kim Kardashian upon launch, to spell out a different name: that of Kardashian's ex-husband Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.

Fans were quick to notice a subtle but major change in the spelling of the song's title in a new notice announcing new digital versions of The Tortured Poets Department that include live renditions of tracks “thank You aimEe” (previously stylized as “thanK you aIMee") and “The Prophecy.”

Fans were quick to note the stylization of the track as “thank You aimEe” now spells out YE rather than KIM, which many are interpreting as an easter egg and even a potential teaser. “taylor changing the letters in thank you aimee from ‘Kim’ to ‘Ye’ is a VERY rep coded thing for her to do,” a user pointed out on X, formerly Twitter. “I’m crying from ‘thanK you aIMee’ to ‘thank You aimEe,’” another noted. “if she’s petty enough to do ‘thank You aimEe’…imagine how petty the RepTV vault tracks are gonna be,” a third one added.

The live “thank You aimEe” is part of a mashup with “Mean” that Swift performed live during her Eras tour in London on June 22, 2024, just one day before she brought out Travis Kelce on stage. The song was released digitally for a limited time only on August 15, 2024.

News of the capitalization change arrives as The Tortured Poets Department spends its 14th week atop the Billboard 200 list. Ye's newly released Vultures 2, a joint venture with Ty Dolla $ign under the moniker ¥$, debuted on the chat this week at no. 2, right after Swift.
