It's been quite a wild ride bearing witness to the spectacle that is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship as it has developed over the past few weeks, but some of the rumors about the two might be getting a liiiiiitle out of hand — particularly one that the new couple is already buying a house together.
Wait, what? Didn't they just get together like… a month ago? That seems a little fast, doesn't it? Apparently, the rumor began when Today host Jenna Bush Hager mentioned she had heard from “a friend” that Kelce and Swift were looking at properties in Kelce's home base of Kansas City, Missouri.

“A friend from Kansas City texted me there might be news they’re buying a house,” Hager said, but quickly added that this was "not confirmed by NBC News.” Page Six notes that Hager's co-anchor Hoda Kotb asked if Hager's “friend” was a realtor, which the TV host laughed off. “No, but she knows realtors,” she replied coyly.
Clearly this is all just speculation and folks having fun with a big, attention-grabbing celebrity relationship, but it's pretty unlikely that Swift and Kelce are already thinking of moving in together. Of course, it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility. But until we hear it from the pair themselves, this tip is firmly in the rumor camp for now. While Taylor Swift owns countless properties in New York City, Nashville, Rhode Island (the scene of her infamous 4th of July gatherings), Los Angeles, and more, Kansas City isn't on her real estate roster just yet.
That said, things do seem to be heating up between the musician and the football star. They recently enjoyed a PDA-heavy weekend together in New York City, being photographed several times on their way to dinner dates and parties; Kelce was even spotted leaving Swift's Tribeca loft. Who knows, maybe he has his own drawer there.
