Nothing quite says “welcome to the world” than a handmade gift – which is why Taylor Swift stitched the best present for Baby Bloom. Katy Perry and her actor fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child, a baby girl called Daisy, at the end of August. Since then, it appears that Taylor has been embroidering a silk baby pink blanket for the little one.

“Miss Daisy adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift,” Katy said on Instagram. “Hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognisable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager.” The post also includes a snippet of Taylor's handwritten letter to Katy and Orlando. “When I was a baby, my most […] possession was a tiny silk…” she wrote. As eagle-eyed fans will note, Katy tagged the location as “Stream Folklore”, referring to Taylor’s latest album, Folklore, which she made during lockdown.

The days of the duo feuding – and years of writing barbed lyrics in hits ranging from “Bad Blood” to “Swish Swish” – are long gone. Last year, Katy made a warm and fuzzy cameo in Taylor’s video for “You Need To Calm Down” dressed as a burger (a costume she wore to the Met Gala). Taylor subsequently morphed into some French fries, because what better way to call a truce than over burgers and fries – and now, a hand stitched baby blanket?
