Bright made his debut on the Met Gala red carpet on Monday. The Thai actor and singer, whose full name is Vachirawit Chivaaree, arrived at the Met Gala 2024 dressed in Burberry.
For his first time attending fashion’s biggest night, Bright went with a carefully-crafted outfit that was an interpretation of the 2024 Met Gala theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and the dress code, “The Garden of Time.”
Though seemingly minimalistic at a glance, Bright’s look was full of details. According to a press release from Burberry, he was sporting “a black pleated georgette jacket with floral bullion embroidery, gold mesh tank top and black silk wool blend tuxedo trousers.” As for accessories, he was styled in “black square-toed loafers and silver Hollow Spike earrings.”
According to the brand, “Referencing the theme of royalty in the story, Bright’s designs draw inspiration from traditional British nobility. The jacket is detailed with bullion floral embroidery, which is applied by hand using a process that takes more than 100 hours.”
For the rest of the look he opted for simple and classic. His medium-length dark brown hair was parted in the middle and swept to the sides. He let the focal point of the look be his signature arched brows, for a strong yet simple look.
The 26-year-old star may be best known for his roles in popular Thai dramas such as 2gether and F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, a television remake of the popular Japanese manga. He was also named as a global brand ambassador for Burberry back in 2022, making regular appearances at the British label’s London Fashion Week runway shows and various events around the world.
Before the big night, Bright shared a short clip on his Instagram Story, showing off a bouquet of flowers Burberry gifted him. The note card addressed to the star from the brand reads, “Welcome to New York. So happy to have you with us.” And we can second that!
