Timothée Chalamet's movie premiere looks are always the talk of the town, as evidenced by his current Wonka press run, but the star will always find a way to keep us guessing. As we've seen during the first half of his Wonka world tour, Timmy loves to show a little skin, but he decided to add some extra layers underneath his suit this time...in balmy Los Angeles of all places.
On December 10, Timothée Chalamet stepped out for the Los Angeles premiere of Wonka in an all-black leather alligator suit and — surprise! — a black high crew neck shirt underneath.
ICYMI: Chalamet began to create the perfect shirtless routine wearing a fuschia suit to the London premiere sans undershirt. "It's a nice chilly night," he told a red carpet interviewer at the premiere. "I don't know what the hell I was doing wearing this." (Anything for fashion, right Timmy?)
He also went shirtless underneath his suit once again in London, wearing an Alexander McQueen suit, and kept the streak going in Paris, where he donned a see-through chainmail top. Noticing a pattern? Yes, Timmy's shirtless debauchery for the Wonka premiere all took place in notably cold places, so we all thought we'd for sure get another shirtless look once he made it to Los Angeles. We, alas, were wrong.
Of course, sunny California is where Chalamet decided to cover up a bit more. Was this a fashion choice, or was the bare chest during the winter months finally catching up to him? We will never officially know, but we can only assume it to be a fashion choice!
When it comes to sartorial choices, the 27-year-old actor is unafraid to take a few risks here and there. After the strike, there's been tons of push for celebrities to make the most of their promotional periods. Chalamet has been on top of his game, going full force to promote Wonka. The classic film is seeing its third retelling, with Timmy as the leading man, and will hit theaters in the U.S. on December 15, 2023.
Of course, Wonka is just one of the big films Chalamet has coming out over the next few months, with Dune 2 next in line, so there will be plenty of Chalamet's red carpet appearances to look forward to — with and hopefully also some without shirts.
