Tom Holland and Zendaya are feeling the festive spirit and getting ready to celebrate the holidays together, as shared by the actor himself.

Recently, the actor stopped by the Dish from Waitrose podcast with British radio personality Nick Grimshaw and Michelin star chef Angela Hartnett to talk about all things food and celebrations, and he took the chance to share his and Zendaya's plans for the holidays.

After describing what a typical Christmas looks like in the Holland household with his three brothers, Holland revealed he will be spending the holidays away from home this year and heading to a "secret" location.

"I'm going to be in America this year. I'll be with my girlfriend's family, which will be fun," Holland told Grimshaw. "Where we will be is a secret to you guys. I know where we're going," he added.

Holland revealed the couple had been making an effort to spend time with both families equally as their relationship has progressed, as is the case for many couples. When asked if the plan was to alternate holiday plans with his and Zendaya's family, the actor revealed they are not fans of taking turns.

"I think what we'd like to start doing is, rather than spending it with each family each year, bring the families together," he continued. "That's what I think we want to do next time. This time, because we are both actors, we're terrible at organizing things, so it hasn't happened yet, but the thought's there. The idea has been planted." Of course, he emphasized that that would include bringing his new doberman puppy and Z's beloved miniature schnauzer Noon, which the couple has been looking after together.

Aside from dishing on holiday plans, Holland also gave listeners a rare glimpse into his and Zendaya's relationship, opening up about everything from their dining habits to their on-set rapport and pressure from having a public relationship.

"I'm starting to venture into a lot of vegetarian cooking [because] my girlfriend's vegetarian," Holland said. "I've been in Boston these past few weeks since she's been working, so I've been doing a lot of the dinners, and they haven't been great. There's been a few 'let's just order in's, but I really enjoy."  (He also revealed his favorite vegetarian dish to cook is chili con lentils, a spin on chili con carne, while his favorite vegetarian food to eat is Zendaya's spicy vodka fusilli.)

Holland also touched upon handling the pressure of fame as more Spider-Man releases came into the world, revealing he felt the need to get security guards after the third installment in the franchise, No Way Home, came out in 2021. (ICYMI: Spider-Man 4 is already in the works.)

Despite having more eyes on him than ever before, Holland admitted that navigating this new normal was a lot easier with Zendaya by his side.

"Where Zendaya and I have been such a strong couple is in the spirit of being able to relate to one another on something that is very, very unique," he said. "I think it's just relying on the people around you. It's about being a little more organized, knowing where you want to go, and, you know, there are restaurants that have little back rooms and stuff where you can have a more private night, but at the end of the day, it's no hardship. When people are recognizing you because they enjoy your work, it's a pretty wonderful thing."

Holland also opened up about working with Zendaya and having the same schedules, which the Challengers star had previously said was a plus. "Studios love it [because]: one hotel room," he quipped. “Separate drivers. We're not crazy now. Listen it's work, alright?!”

On a more serious note, he said that having each other is "a saving grace" and said that working together was “the best thing that's ever happened to [him].”

"It's just that perfect thing when you are on set, and the director will give you a note that maybe you don't agree with or I know that she doesn't particularly like, and it's just that familiar glance at each other that's just like 'Can't wait to talk about that after,'" he finally added.
