Trixie Mattel is on sabbatical, honey. Yes, the New York Times bestselling author and RuPaul’s Drag Race Hall of Famer is currently out of office. But don’t worry, the Trixie empire never stops, and faster than you can say the words “Tracey Martel,” the folks at Trixie Cosmetics are rolling out a brand new make-up line — the “9 to 5” collection — today, August 8!

With the new drop, Trixie has considered everything for the day job girlies with these everyday lip essentials. In her latest video revealing the range, Trixie said, “It really is a love letter to any of you who are worker bees; gals and gays and they/thems who wake up and put on the tie and the work skort…and let the girls know.” Whether you need something appropriate for the office or want to spruce up your WFH aesthetic between Zoom calls, the creamy neutrals of “9 to 5” have been made with you in mind.

Trixie has equipped us with five new lipsticks, three of which come in the Trixie Cosmetics satin-finish buttercream formula. There’s ‘Kimberly’ for a warm ‘60s vibe, for the office girlie that “lives for the weekend,” according to Trixie. And ‘Fax Me,’ like puréed chilies on toast, for “the b*tch on Slack who never answers,” Trixie said. Then we have ‘Fashionably Late,’ with the signature Trixie vanilla smell, like “if you took rose petals and mixed it into natural clay.”

The other two lipsticks come with an updated matte formula. ‘Werk Wife’ is a gorgeous brown, described as “caramel nude,” and ‘HR Hunny’ is a deep brown color with a touch of plum,  described as “warm milk chocolate,” which is envisioned for the manager, someone who goes to work and “cracks skulls,” Trixie said. All five lipsticks retail for $16.

It doesn’t stop there. Also debuting in the “9 to 5” range are the Lip Sync Gel lip liners, which come in the same five shades as the lipsticks (if you’re all about keeping it matchy-matchy), with a soft matte finish and creamy texture. As Trixie demonstrated on her channel, the formula has enough integrity to maintain its body when sharpened. The lip liners are set at $18.

Trixie fiends can even bundle a lipstick and lipliner for a bit of saving — that’s more coin (or “doll-hairs”) for the caffeine hit to see you through your 9 to 5. Not to mention the world’s most adorable pink heart sharpener, staying true to Trixie’s passion for pairing professional, stunning products with toy-like packaging; we know she loves a bit of a Lisa Frank and stationery-type tease.

With this new collection, Trixie Cosmetics is here to help you get through the workday with a little bit of glam. Available now from the Trixie Cosmetics website.
