Who said festive nails can’t be classically chic? TWICE’s Mina and Blue Ivy Carter are proving they can with this totally adorable yet subtle nail art trend.
While promoting TWICE’s new mini album, Strategy, member Mina coordinated her outfit to the red color scheme. She wore a retro red corset top with black polka dots and contrasting black collars lined by red. She paired the look with a black leather belt with charcoal heart-shaped hardware over a white lace and tulle ruffle skirt. As for shoes, she went with chunky white boots.
Beauty-wise, she wore her blonde hair and wispy bangs straight, smoked out her winged eyeliner, subtly clustered her eyelashes, and matched her brick-red blush to her lip gloss. It seems like no detail was spared in this look because even her nails matched the theme. She opted for a simple French manicure and gave it a festive twist by adorning each white tip with a red heart.

The look gave us some déjà vu to Blue Ivy Carter’s appearance at the Grammys earlier this year. There, Carter wore a cream Vivienne Westwood off-the-shoulder dress with chunky boots as well, giving the elegant number youthful styling. She did the same with her nails, going for the same heart-adorned French manicure look as Mina.
It’s understandable that this nail design is going viral. The French base is simple, timeless, and classically chic. The heart doodles are adorable, fun, and not too out there.
