Usher has officially been named the Super Bowl halftime performer.
The singer and R&B legend announced on social media on Sunday that he would be taking the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11, 2024. Usher, 44, along with the official NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation accounts, posted the promo picture, along with several videos making the announcement.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement. “Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

The promo videos parody the classic Usher music video for his hit song “Confessions Part II,” which shows the singer answering a phone call and finding out he got a woman pregnant. Instead, the promos cut to present-day Usher, who tells his younger self that he's going to be headlining Super Bowl LVIII. In another video, Kim Kardashian is shown on the other end of the phone also letting him know that he's going to be a headliner.

Usher became a household name and icon in the early 2000s after his Grammy Award-winning album “Confessions." He's since had several number-one hits including “Yeah!" featuring Ludacris and Lil' Jon, “Burn," “My Boo” featuring Alicia Keys, and more. He is currently performing at his sold-out “Usher: My Way” residency in Las Vegas until December.
This year's Apple Music halftime show marks the fifth year that the NFL and Jay-Z's Roc Nation have collaborated on a musical act. This has since resulted in performances from Rihanna, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige.
“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course,” Jay-Z wrote in a statement. “Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul. His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”
