Vanessa Hudgens has already tried just about every hair length, style, and color in existence, but the Gigi star surprised us yet again with a sleek, short bob. She is the queen of hair experimentation, and we have to bow down.
From her blonde-tipped and Kool Aid-red ombré lobs to her most recent choppy bangs, the actress makes a point of putting her own spin on style trend. In this case, she set her sights on the ubiquitous lob, the most popular haircut of 2015.
Vanessa took to Instagram to give her six million followers a first look at the short cut, which was created by her stylist Kristina Barricelli at Gemini 14 Salon in New York City. Though it’s just a few inches shorter than her previous shoulder-length style, sometimes that’s all it takes to seriously shake up your look.

The cut itself is super flattering (check out the way it brings out her cheekbones!) and the glossy dark color is probably a much-needed break from Vanessa’s years of bleaching and dip-dyeing.
Though she’s been sporting a wig for her new Broadway role, there’s no doubt she’ll keep her social media followers in the loop on all the cool ways she’ll be styling her new off-duty ’do. We can’t wait to see.
