If you spent time online during the 2010s, you've probably seen at least a handful of compilations about the "feud" between Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande. A quick Google search will quickly provide you with "evidence" of the two Victorious co-stars' alleged beef, mainly using a viral clip from 2010 that I think we're all familiar with (pun intended). But now, Victoria is clearing the air about the actual standing of her relationship with Ariana.
Victoria took the chance to speak up on the "dumb" rumors while chatting to E! News at Revolve Festival during Weekend 1 of Coachella 2023. "When that 'I think we all sing' meme came out, I think that was so annoying," Victoria confessed, adding that her words were “taken out of context.”
"I don't even need to talk about this anymore," the actor continued, "but Ariana texted me, and we both were like, 'This is so stupid.' I think the biggest rumor is just like this whole narrative that was created of, like, me being jealous of her and us not being friends."
Victoria also said the feud rumors were another case of "the media and people wanting to pit people against each other" and shared she doesn't feel it's even relevant to bring up over a decade later.

This isn't the first time Victoria Justice has used an interview setting to clarify this situation. In 2015, Victoria explained the entire situation during an appearance on The Meredith Vieira Show. "There was an article where [Ariana] had said that she was bullied on set, and the magazine basically alluded to it being me," she recounted. “Before [the article] came out, she texted me privately, and she was like, 'Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, you know how the media twists words. I was not talking about you; I was talking about someone on Broadway that I had worked with.'”
More recently, in 2021, Victoria addressed the so-called feud again on the Chicks in the Office podcast. "All of that drama, whatever, all of that stuff is, it's so silly. A lot of it really came from the media fanning those flames and then just people online fanning those flames and making it this huge crazy thing," she said, adding that she loved Ariana and revealing that they often text.
"It is a little frustrating to see how people do love to pit women against each other," Victoria further added. "But I think at the end of the day; it's all about us supporting each other and building each other up."
In case you missed it, the cast of Victorious actually reunited via Zoom in peak pandemic time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show's premiere, and both Ariana and Victoria took part in the call, which was shared on Victoria's Instagram account. According to Just Jared Jr., at the time, Ariana left a comment on Victoria's post that read: "My heart is yelling. Love you so much. The best night."
