Our Editor in Chief Amy Astley just came back from sunny London to launch The Teen Vogue Handbook in the U.K. on May 6 at the Marc by Marc Jacobs store in Mayfair. The weather was a record 70 degrees the day of our book party! Teen Vogue's associate editor Andrew Bevan and I were on hand for the festivities, which included 300 of London's coolest kids packing the MJ store on South Audley Street. The crowd included British Voguettes, Natt and Leah Weller, designer Henry Holland, Pixie Geldof, Daisy Coburn of Daisy Dares You fame, Douglas Booth, Venetia Scott and her daughter Lola, and Edie Ashley (granddaughter of Laura), among oodles of models and fans enjoying Percy Pigs candies and delicious Marks & Spencer cupcakes.
We absolutely adored the London street style the teens in attendance exhibited, which is all about taking risks and mixing and matching. Guests turned up with accessories and hair pieces they had crafted just hours before the party: Newspaper hair bows, pom poms for pigtails, you name it!
We may be back in New York, but our minds are already racing with plans for our next London fete!
