When you ask teachers for letters of recommendation, you're expecting them to spend pages bragging about how wonderful and brilliant you are. So you can imagine one high school student's surprise when he asked a favorite teacher for a letter of rec and she sent him this:
Yes, the letter just reads, "Jack is an adequate student." Yikes.
