Edvin Ryding, star of Netflix’s hit Swedish series Young Royals, just took on the Oscars 2025 red carpet in Los Angeles, California. And, for the special occasion, he opted for a very charming princely look that almost feels like a nod to his beloved character Wilhelm.
Known for his fun, experimental style, the Swedish actor spared no detail when it came to his outfit. He arrived in an elegant cream-colored jacket over a white button-up top and black trousers, but he upped the ante with accessories galore.The most eye-catching part of the look is probably the black and white plaid sash, which seems to be from Xander Zhou’s Spring 2025 collection. The piece is adorned with bows for an ultra trendy coquette vibe and further accessorized with a gold brooch that adds to that regal feel. It’s the perfect combo for a Young Royal, fittingly.
He also added a bit more flair to the look by opting for alternating button sizes on his shirt, making the look more dynamic. He finished the look with black patent shoes and a simple ring. In an interview, Ryding shared that the look is an “homage” to Sweden, featuring pieces by designers from the country.
Though Ryding is known to go all out and step out with bold hairstyles from time to time, for this occasion he opted for a classic look, wearing his cropped blonde hair slightly gelled back. The big question is, however, did he wear his Omr Beauty Duo perfume?
Last year, Ryding’s co-star Omar Rudberg also attended the Oscars. For his red carpet look, he went in a different direction that was equally as bold. The actor and singer skipped the shirt, opting for an edgier look.
As the stars have graduated from their Young Royals roles, seeing them continue to grow in their careers and style has certainly been a treat for fans. And these Oscars looks are no exception.
