Zara is teaming up with a fashion legend. The Spanish retailer just announced a new capsule collection with Stefano Pilati, former head designer of Yves Saint Laurent.

As noted by WWD, the co-ed collection will include “50 styles for men and 30 for women,” plus shoes and bags, and will be available in October. Another fashion legend, photographer Steven Meisel, shot the campaign, which has not yet been released.

Pilati was at the helm of YSL from 2004 to 2012, then went to Ermenegildo Zegna, and is currently working on the genderless clothing line Random Identities, which WWD describes as a more “personal” project for the designer. WWD notes that the Italian designer isn't just working behind the scenes; he has recently done some modeling, including for Pharrell Williams's menswear debut at Louis Vuitton.

This style icon status will be reflected in his Zara drop. “It is understood the Zara capsule will mark the first time Pilati has designed collections based largely on what he likes to wear,” WWD reported. “According to sources, he quietly initiated the Zara project at the beginning of 2024, initially focused on menswear but ultimately expanded to womenswear.” Zara has collaborated with tons of fashion insiders and brands, including Barbie, Steven Meisel, and Kaia Gerber.

So far, all we know about the collection is that Pilati is behind it, and it'll include pieces for both men and women. However, if it does drop in October, we've only got a few weeks to wait — but we wouldn't waste a second heading to checkout, because this collab is going to sell out fast.
