Is Zendaya slowly becoming more British — one trench coat at a time? According to the internet, the actress’s recent fashion choices are giving London energy, and fans are pointing fingers (lovingly) at her fiancé, Tom Holland. Now that the couple is engaged, the Emmy award-winning actress is spending a lot of time across the pond. If you’ve been watching Zendaya’s recent style moves closely (and let’s be honest, who hasn’t?), you might have noticed a surprising shift: her fashion is starting to reflect it.
Between her recent spotting taking a stroll around London to her latest appearance at Louis Vuitton’s spring-summer 2026 show in Paris, we’re starting to think the internet’s latest Zendaya theory might have some real juice to it.
In case you don't believe it, below, we’ve gathered all the evidence as to why Zendaya’s British fashion era has commenced.
British Fashion Explained
The stereotype of British fashion is long-line trench coats flapping in the always-raining London wind. Perfectly tailored jackets. Monochrome palettes in oatmeal, camel, navy, and grey. Because there needs to be a muted luxury while sipping tea! (Can you tell I’ve never been to London!) There’s also a slight nod to equestrian chic, which is why riding boots are all the rage.
It’s not that Zendaya’s abandoned her high-glam fashion roots — this is still the woman who wore robot armor to a Dune movie premiere. However, in her recent day-to-day and press appearances, fans say she has swapped out futuristic silhouettes and bold color palettes for something quieter, softer, and more classically British.
British fashion is all about contrast. It blends tradition with rebellion. It’s structured trench coats, sharp tailoring, and heritage fabrics like tweed and tartan, paired with an unexpected edge. Designers like Victoria Beckham epitomize the polished, minimalist side of British style, characterized by sleek silhouettes, muted tones, and effortless sophistication. On the other hand, Vivienne Westwood embodied the punk spirit: deconstruction, bold prints, and a fierce rejection of convention.
While there’s no official confirmation that her fiancé Tom Holland is behind this subtle shift, fans are clearly having fun imagining her raiding his closet — or at least his mood boards.

The internet was first set ablaze when images of Zendaya hit X as she was seen walking her dog Noon, wearing an olive green trench coat (VERY British, might we add), paired with an ascot scarf tied around her neck, denim jeans, and a pair of knee-high brown riding boots. As X user Wengel said, “That is a British woman.”

The next outing that leans into this very theory is when Zendaya and Tom Holland stepped out to attend The Brothers Trust Gala. Zendaya wore a high-neck black mini dress with exaggerated shoulder design. She paired it with skin-tone colored stockings and a LV So Kate heel, her hair pulled into a simple updo. It does not get more regal and British than that.
On September 30th, Zendaya attended the Louis Vuitton SS26 Show in a metallic mini coat with fur trim across the lapel and arm cuffs. She had her hair in a deep side part, with it curled and flipped outwards. If this isn’t modern-day Spice Girls vibes, then I don’t know what is.
It’s clear to see Zendaya’s long-term partner Holland, and the many years spent enjoying the quiet life in London have shaped her style, and we absolutely are here for it.
