As usual, the AMAs 2021 did not fail to bring the drama when it comes to red carpet looks. This year, host Cardi B shocked the carpet when she showed up in a golden mask and veil among several other outfits, and BTS looked picture-perfect in their butter-yellow suits in reference to their megahit, of course. Olivia Rodrigo brought the '00s back in her sheer sequined blue gown and the Bailey sisters, Chloë and Halle, looked glamorous in their cutout gowns.

As for major trends at the show, black gowns were the thing to wear, from Cardi's bombshell picks to Madelyn Cline's halter-neck stunner. Machine Gun Kelly brought his daughter Casie, with both of them opting for all-black ‘fits. Cutouts, too, were a popular choice for celebrities at the show, from subtle midriff slashes to tiered cutouts like the ones on Becky G’s purple mini dress.
