Britney Spears Lifetime Movie to Premiere in 2017
If any tale deserves a biopic treatment, the story of Miss Britney Jean Spears is up there. The little darlin’ of Kentwood, Louisiana rose from humble beginnings to become the Princess of Pop — and she's still going strong 20 years after her first single hit the airwaves. (That’d be “… Baby One More Time” in case you are a recent visitor from Neptune.) If you didn't know better, you’d think Britney’s life story *was * the plot of a Lifetime movie. And now, it actually will be.
It was recently announced that the pop star would be the subject of a two-hour Lifetime movie, which is basically the pinnacle of fame. Britney has not given her blessing to this role, but it's sure to be quite the movie. After all, she's had quite the life: a meteoric rise to super-fame, constant surveillance of her every move, a traumatic breakup with Justin Timberlake, a Vegas wedding, a serious rebellion against the microscopic lens of fame, and a comeback that’ll go down in history.
So what are they going to include in said movie, which is set to premiere in 2017? We’re not sure, but we have our own Fantasy-scented hopes and dreams, spiked in Starbucks and swathed in sparkly bodysuits. Britney’s had 34 years of iconic moments, and these are some of our faves.
