Lil Nas X: Best Style Moments

The rising musician and style star never disappoints.

Lil Nas X is as strong as ever before. Since his hit "Old Town Road" soared to the top of the charts, he's made his mark on the industry as an openly gay Black hip-hop artist. He's quickly become a household name and though he isn't the first Black queer artist to shake things up in the industry, he is the first to make Billboard history while breaking records, too.

With talent as a hip-hop star and lyricist, the former Teen Vogue cover star is also accompanied by his signature flashy style, which often includes elements of ‘90s hip-hop style, straight-off-the-runway edgy fashion-forward pieces, and a healthy dose of the yeehaw agenda. Mixing prints, experimenting with neon hues and rocking over-the-top accessories is what we’ve come to expect from Lil Nas X, and he never disappoints.

From an all-neon green fit at the AMAs to a sky-blue snakeskin moment at the 2019 GQ Men Of The Year red carpet and an epic run at NYFW to kickstart 2023, below are some of our favorite style moments from the artist.

Lil Nas X attended the Versace Fall/Winter 2023 show held in West Hollywood in a quintessential look from the brand. The star rocked a blinged-out sheer crop top, the jewels cascading down to his leather wrap micro skirt (with a very daring slit) and matching knee-high boots. Lil Nas also carried a clutch from the brand. To add the finishing touch, he also made sure to put on underpants with the classic greca pattern — also featuring crystals, of course.

Nas played with patterns at the Thom Browne NYFW show in a stunning emerald paisley coat paired with a matching dog-shaped handbag. He styled the luxurious topper with a pair of thin silver glasses, classic black oxfords, and a white poplin shirt. Smart.

The Montero rapper looked absolutely picture-perfect at Christian Cowan's NYFW show donning a lavender satin suit, platform boots, and an elaborate baby pink feathered headpiece. (They were part of the collection being shown, so that's another flex.) Lil Nas X has worked with the designer several times before and looks impeccable in his designs.

Festive at Fashion Week! Nas, who previously walked the runway for Coach, told Vogue that he was going for a “pink-red Valentine's moment” at the label's NYFW show, which took place on February 13.
