See Jenna Ortega’s Corpse Bride-Inspired Outfit & More Looks from the Wednesday Premiere

The premiere for Netflix's Wednesday took place in L.A. on November 16, and Jenna Ortega is doing a killer (pun intended) job filling Wednesday Addams's shoes. The star hit the red carpet at the event in a goth black lace gown that's giving us pure Corpse Bride vibes.

Jenna, who plays the titular role in the new Tim Burton-helmed series about the Addams Family's dark-sided young daughter, donned a black Versace dress and matching tulle veil for the world premiere of the Netflix show. The sleeveless ebony gown featured a V-neck, cutout lace bodice, a high, dramatic slit, and a slithering train. When paired with the elbow-length tulle veil with edges of lace, the entire effect is very "queen of the underworld," perfect for the creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky Addams Family-centric show.

Jenna eschewed Wednesday's pigtail braids in favor of a straight, middle-parted style with curtain bangs parted on either side of her face, pairing the sleek brunette hair with bronze shadow and — naturally — lots of deep black eyeliner. A neutral lip, metallic manicure, and a few silver rings added a touch of glamour to the goth bride vibe, making it more romantic than sadistic, like Wednesday herself.

The premiere date for Wednesday is just a few days away — it hits screens on November 23. Jenna has been in high gear promoting the show and giving us inspiration for our own all-black ensembles. For the Critics Choice Association's 2nd Annual Celebration of Latino Cinema and Television, the actor donned a super sheer black Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello gown with an asymmetrical neckline, one sheer sleeve ending in a glove, and a totally sheer mesh back, under which she wore a black bodysuit. We know that at one point in the Netflix series, Jenna-as-Wednesday goes to a glam goth prom — in black, obviously — and from what we can see from the sneak peek pics, the onscreen look is every bit as otherworldly and spooky as her red carpet fashion moments thus far.
