A wedding is on Demi Lovato's horizon. At Teen Vogue Summit, the singer shared that she's in full planning mode for her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Jordan "Jutes" Lutes — and is loving the process.
"It's going really good," she told Teen Vogue's editor-in-chief Versha Sharma about the wedding. “It's coming together. And I'm really excited about it. I'm a little stressed because there are so many things that you have to plan that I had no idea about. But every detail you have to make a decision on, and so, it's a little overwhelming, but I'm having the best time doing it. And I cannot wait to get married to him.”
Both musicians, Lovato has referred to Jutes as her best friend and soulmate who is very supportive. The couple began dating in 2022 after writing a song together. They share a dog, Pickle, together. And in December 2023 they became engaged. In her recent Teen Vogue cover story she revealed that the big day will take place in 2025 and it's something she's been dreaming about since she was a kid.
"You know, I've waited my whole life for him," Lovato told PEOPLE in September 2024. "It's very grounding to have a partner that is so supportive, so loving, so caring. It's very easy to stay centered with him because I love him so much and he treats me so amazing."
In addition to wedding planning, the star shared with the crowd at Summit that she's working on new music and other creative expressions. This fall, Lovato made her directorial debut with the documentary Child Star, which chronicled the complicated trials of growing up in front of the camera.
“I would describe the era of my career today as the whatever makes me happy era,” Lovato said. “I’m making music that makes me happy I’m cooking in the kitchen, posting those videos on TikTok. I directed the documentary I just did. I've spent so many years doing what other people expected of me, but not doing it for myself.”
Now, she is, with so much joy.
