Halsey just made a massive change to their look. The artist and about-face founder has been rocking a short, dark cropped cut for the past few months, but they just ditched it in favor of a bright copper red color with long lengths and bangs.
Halsey debuted the transformation on Instagram Stories with a selfie. "New day new person til tomorrow," Halsey wrote, which could be a hint that the red isn't sticking around forever. After all, they are known for their chameleonic approach to beauty, changing things up with wigs and makeup to channel everything from Marilyn Monroe to the '90s.
The new hair color is a perfect bright, strawberry red that makes Halsey's hazel eyes really pop. While we can't fully see how long the hair is, it appears to brush past their shoulders in ringlet curls. A set of brow-grazing curtain bangs adds to the transformation; it's giving us Hayley Williams, Halsey-style.
Halsey's new hairstyle may be a longer length that we've seen the star in as of late, but they have experimented with red shades many times throughout her career, including several this year alone. In August, Halsey showed off bright cherry red highlights for a trip to Tokyo and debuted a copper chop in September before dyeing it dark. Halsey previously told Teen Vogue that they feel like "a different person every week," so the change-up makes a lot of sense. We're hopeful that this super on-trend red shade sticks around!
