Is there a right way to wear your swimsuit without making it look so obvious that you’re wearing a swimsuit? We finally put it on ourselves to tackle the question this summer. From some light summer layering to breezy bare-all looks, we have a few more tricks up our sleeve besides the usual “wearing your one-piece as a bodysuit” hack.

Something to remember: Just because you’re wearing your swimsuit sans beach, pool, or large body of water, does not mean you have to spotlight the suit. Something as simple as letting it peek out for a pop of color or texture is more than enough. It’s our lazy-girl way of adding structure, texture, or layers to a look.

Ahead, our ode to summer by wearing our favorite swimsuits forever.

1. Strap Layering

The aforementioned pop-of-swimsuit happening right here. This swimsuit is a silver metallic fabric that adds some subtle shine and an extra strap to a one-shoulder top for more dimension. It’s an easy way to master that sporty-in-the-summer look.

3. Business Really Casual

Wear your swimsuit as a top — it’s easy enough and keeps things extra breezy. You can throw on a blazer if you’re feeling too exposed. Just think of your top as a really cropped crop top!

4. Lazy Sunday

Long baggy dresses are the summer version of sweaters in the fall; everyone relies on them to be their essential summer piece. Use an underwire bikini top to add some more pizzaz and structure to your breezy summer dress. It’s the perfect way to show off some curves while still feeling comfortable.
