Kylie Jenner is known for her love of form-fitting LBDs, catsuits, and bodysuits, but she also likes to mix things up with oversize 'fits from time to time. As evidenced by a recent snap of Kylie out and about in New York City with her sister Kendall, that also applies to her jeans — and the pair she wore could have used a tailor's light touch or a different shoe to tweak the silhouette.
Kylie and Kendall were in NYC for the CFDA Awards and spent November 8 enjoying a day of shopping and restaurant hopping. After the glam event, both sisters dressed down. Kendall opted for a sweater and black pants, and Kylie put on a cardigan worn as a top, a long fur-trimmed car coat, and a pair of high-waisted, vintage-style (and unnecessarily long) jeans.
Kylie accessorized her look with a few layered gold necklaces and a pair of wraparound sunglasses, plus a black top-handle bag, and wore her hair pulled back in a low-key knot.
Kylie wore the jeans with two different pairs of shoes, and that shoe switch-up caused a dramatic change in silhouette. First, she wore the jeans with a pair of pointed-toe shoes, causing the jeans to puddle in layers of fabric at the hem. (Kylie!)
However, while visiting a restaurant with Kendall, she changed things up with a pair of chunky lug sole black loafers from Prada, which gave the jeans a casual, loose-fitting '90s vibe, especially when paired with her cardigan shirt, which exposed a hint of her midriff.
The chunkier shoe added height to the look and kept the jeans from dragging on the ground — a much smarter option, especially when you're seeing the sights of New York.
