Eating Right with Candice Kumai's Pretty Delicious

I grew up in a family of healthy eaters. Fruits, veggies, and whole grains have been kitchen staples of mine ever since I can remember, and I usually do a pretty good job of sticking to a healthy diet. That said, I'll be the first to tell you that, being human, I occasionally crave a burger or a cupcake. To be honest, I think we all do, which is why I am such a big fan of Candice Kumai and her new cookbook coming out this fall, Pretty Delicious, in which every great-tasting recipe (including sliders and cupcakes, of course) contains healthy ingredients that benefit your body. A few weeks ago, I went to an event celebrating the launch of Pretty Delicious (out in October), where I had the chance to sample some of the book's great new recipes--and ask Candice a few questions about her food philosophies, influences, and how we can all go about eating healthy food that still tastes great.
