The 2025 Grammys are upon us! And there's a long list of contenders who'll be vying for the most coveted prize in music tonight. Keep scrolling to see this year's Grammy nominations list.
The 67th annual Grammy Awards will be held tonight, on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This year's Grammy noms were announced via YouTube livestream back in early November 2024, by announcers like Victoria Monét and Hayley Williams. The ceremony will celebrate the best in music within the eligibility window of September 16, 2023 to August 30, 2024.
In the aftermath of the L.A. fires, which devastated thousands of acres and displaced thousands of people, many in the music and entertainment industries called for the Grammys to be postponed or cancelled entirely. Instead, the show will go on, but with increased focus and efforts towards fire relief and fundraising.
“Postponing the show for me didn’t feel like the right thing for the city of Los Angeles,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said in a recent interview with the New York Times. “We wanted to make sure that we showed a resilience and strength and unity in a time when I thought we were going to really, really need it.”
Additionally, the show will honor and pay tribute to Los Angeles's first responders, and according to Grammys co-executive producer Ben Winston, the reimagined show will “make L.A. a character in the night of Grammys.”
“On the one hand, there’s the good we can do with our platform,” Mason told Variety. “But if we were to cancel or postpone the show, how would that affect the thousands of people who work on it or around it?” Winston agreed, adding: “After COVID, post-COVID, two [Hollywood industry] strikes and everything else, try to tell those stagehands, costumers, makeup artists, drivers, caterers, PAs and all those working people who make a living from the Grammys that we’re not doing the show.”
For the first time in four years, no new categories have been introduced — this means the total number of buckets for this year's Grammys is 94 categories.
